Situation
While working with the registry office, we had several days where we were short staffed during rushes at the end of the day or month.
Task
My manager would request extra hours for staff when needed during these busy times so the staff would not become overwhelmed by large numbers of customers
Action
I would come in on my days off, come in early or stay later in the day.
Result
Tasks were completed in a more timely manner, customers were efficiently helped and staff was not overworked by delegating responsibilities to more people.
ADAPTABILITY
Situation
Due to policies within the government changing on a regular basis, my job at the registry office was constantly changing. One major change we experienced was the deprivatization for road testing of professional classed driver's licensing.
Task
I was required to have the client provide me with new documentation and certificates to obtain these classes of licensing that was very different from the policies that had been in place for years prior to the change.
Action
Studying the new policies put in place was a major priority as staff so I did not issue a license in error. Professionally classed driver's operate some of the largest vehicles on the road so assuring they had the proper training certifications was equally important as knowing the policies.
Result
According to our monthly reports, I had an excellent record of issuing these licenses and other documents with little to no errors. This also helped me assist my fellow coworkers with any troubles they may have had during these services.
